No one thought it would work with Homer being of a strict Italian descent and Marjorie coming from a very Irish Family.
When you think 'grandparents', the first image in your mind is probably pretty close to Grandpa Homer and Grandma Margie.
Who would think that these kind senior citizens were quite the hellraisers back in the day?
It certainly tracks, of course - they're just following in the footsteps of their parents! Nobody expected them to stay together or amount to anything (they met as teenagers in a Walmart, for goodness' sake!) but that didn't stop them. Marge became a beloved middle school teacher and Homer, a junior executive at the Ford Motor Company.
How appropriate that their idyllic life mostly unfolded in a town called Pixie Dust in New Mexico.
They had the five kids, and named them all with names starting with "J", so that's where the 5 J's comes in.
We have not uploaded any documents yet. We know there are some ellis island documets. Maybe we could get PDF's made or just get a picture.
